Personal Assistant Required – Newton Mearns

A Female Personal Assistant with a happy outlook and a kind, caring approach, is required to assist a 12-year-old, who has Angelman Syndrome, living in the Newton Mearns area.

Your role involves personal care support (help to feed and occasional toileting) and trips out and about.

Job role includes:

• Providing personal care support when outside (if needed).
• Feeding/keeping clean.
• Having fun times together
• Moving and assisting by pushing a manual wheelchair.
• Being on ‘the go’,

For this job we are looking for an energetic person with a caring nature. The supported person likes to be out and about, so someone who likes too would be great.

The supported person is non-verbal and has her own way of communicating and would need a person who would be willing to learn her way of communication.

A driver with a full UK driving licence is essential. You will be required to use your own vehicle.

Experience is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)

Recruiting for 2 people (preferably) with the opportunity to work 2-3 hours per week each.

Additional hours may be available to cover annual leave

Days and times:

Weekends and public holidays with more flexibility during the school holidays.

Hourly rate:

£14.00 per hour
