Personal Assistant Required – Glasgow South
Location: Glasgow South (Giffnock G46)
Salary/Hourly Rate: £Around £14 per hour subject to skills and experience
Contract: Permanent
We’re looking for a caring, friendly, and reliable female Personal Assistant (PA) for a 71y old woman with multiple sclerosis.
She uses a manual wheelchair but otherwise is physically in good health, remains active, and enjoys their lovely garden and getting outdoors generally.
Main Duties
Social – Support for the person to enjoy their garden and the outdoors generally; accompanying the person to exercise clubs, groups, and accessing the wider community; providing companionship and social support.
Household – Assistance with household tasks, for example preparation of food, cleaning and tidying.
Personal care – Assistance with feeding and drinking, bathroom assistance.
Characteristics, skills and experience of the PA:
- Commitment to helping the person lead a fulfilled life.
- A caring, patient and friendly nature is essential.
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy and fully understand and demonstrate confidentiality.
- Communicate and work effectively with close family and the broader care team.
- Previous care experience is desirable, but training can be given.
- Full clean driving licence and a willingness to drive as part of the role.
