Personal Assistant Required – Dumbarton

Robert is a 17-year-old male who has complex needs. Robert is polite, well-mannered and has a good sense of humour and enjoys light-hearted interaction with those around him. Robert benefits from physical exercise and loves walking, swimming and attending the gym and wants to engage more in community-based activities, he loves to complete tasks himself as it gives him a sense of achievement and independence with the appropriate support put in place.

Robert can become overwhelmed in busy, noisy or unpredictable environments, he is highly observant and is responsive to his surroundings which means he can be affected by changes and behaviours of others.

CLIENT REQUIREMENTS

• Must be compassionate, reliable, high energy and has experience in supporting young people with complex needs
• Provide two to one support with emphasis being on health & wellbeing
• Support Robert to participate in Robert’s hobbies & social activities
• Good communication interpersonal skills
• Networking with all support organisations connected to Robert’s support plan
• Flexibility will be required to meet clients’ needs where the days & hours will be discussed in depth at the interview stage
• A new PVG will be required for this post. Help can be obtained through employers to obtain a PVG.
