Personal Assistant Required – Cullen, Moray

Location: Cullen, Moray

Salary/Hourly Rate: £20

Contract: Permanent

Location of Job
Cullen, Moray, AB56. A private household. Own transport is essential — the village has limited public transport.

Rate of Pay
£20 per hour. Each visit runs between 30 minutes and an hour and is paid as a full hour, so every visit is worth £20 regardless of length. Travel paid at an agreed rate on top. Approximately 18 visits a week.

Description of duties required

Supporting a lady of 88 who lives alone in her own home. She is bright, good company, and does a great deal for herself — she cooks, and manages her own washing and dressing. Her short-term memory is poor, so meals and medication get missed. The role is prompting and companionship rather than heavy personal care.

Three visits a day, six days a week:

Morning — breakfast, and a check that her medication has been taken
Midday — a light meal. This visit may be substituted by a telephone call, by arrangement
Evening — a hot meal, and a check on her medication
Within the paid time, light housekeeping, a check of the fridge, and accompanied shopping are all welcome. Occasional personal care may be needed, usually following a fall.

The post does not have to be filled by one person. Mornings only, evenings only, or weekends would all be considered, and two or three people sharing the week would suit well.

Start date: 17 September 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
