Personal Assistant Required x2 – Clarkston

We are looking for two compassionate, reliable, and physically fit Personal Care Assistants to support twin boys aged 8. Each worker will provide one-to-one support for one child. The roles may involve working together or independently, depending on the activity and needs on the day.

Both boys are non-verbal and autistic, with one also diagnosed with ADHD. They require personal care support, structured routine, and constant supervision as they are a flight risk. This role requires someone alert, energetic, and safety-focused at all times.

(Mainly home-based with occasional local outings)

Hours

1. 4–6pm, two days from Monday/Wednesday/Friday (to be agreed)
2. 3 hours at weekends (mutually agreed)
3. Some flexibility available

 

Role Responsibilities

 

1. Provide one-to-one supervision and ensure safety at all times
2. Support with personal care and daily routines
3. Help manage behaviours and emotional regulation
4. Support communication using alternative methods
5. Assist with local outings and activities

 

Requirements

 

1. Experience supporting autistic and/or non-verbal children
2. Understanding of ADHD and behavioural support
3. Physically able to respond quickly if needed
4. Patient, calm, and consistent
5. Enhanced PVG/background check required
