Personal Assistant Required – Giffnock

We are looking for a caring and reliable personal assistant to provide weekend support for a lovely woman living with Alzheimer’s.

She has lost some independence but still values dignity, companionship, and staying active. This is a self-employed position, ideal for someone who enjoys gentle outings, offers a reassuring presence, and knows how to support without taking over.

Role Summary:
– Provide companionship at home and during short outings (walks, park visits, coffee, or shopping).
– Support her in staying connected and engaged in the local community.
– Remind her to take her medication on schedule.
– Ensure she feels safe and supported during bathroom visits (no help needed inside, but she may need reassurance entering/exiting).
– Be mindful of her hip issues-she receives cortisone shots and may need a steady arm when walking.

Who We’re Looking For:
– Someone with experience in Alzheimer’s or dementia care.
– Calm, empathetic, and patient-especially when she has trouble finding words.
– Able to support gentle mobility without being intrusive.
– Warm, consistent, and trustworthy.
