Personal Assistant Required – North Lanarkshire

A male in his early 40s is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Assistant to join his team of five, providing one-to-one support within his own home in the Wishaw area. This is a direct employment role and not through an agency.

About the Role:

The role is for one full day per week (24-hour shift from 10am to 10am the following day), with the specific day changing on a rotating basis. Flexibility is essential to cover annual leave and sickness.

The individual does not require personal care, but does need assistance with shaving and gentle prompting throughout the day. Duties will also include:

• Preparing meals

• Light domestic tasks

• Providing companionship and engaging in shared interests

About the Individual:

He is a friendly and sociable man with a keen interest in Motherwell Football Club, film, and music. Training will be provided around his specific support needs, including epilepsy and autism awareness.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous care experience (professional or personal)

• Is aged between 30 and 50 (desirable)

• Shares similar interests and can offer reliable and person-centred support

• Is flexible, patient, and a good communicator

Additional Details:

• 6 weeks pro rata annual leave

• Workplace pension available

• PVG checks and references required

• Start date: ASAP

• Initial period of shadowing with an experienced team member

• 3-month trial contract, followed by a permanent offer if successful
