Personal Assistant Required – Motherwell

Female Personal Care Assistant required to assist a 11-year-old female with a Physical Disability living in the Motherwell area.

You would be required to provide one-to-one care and assistance in the community, and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

• Moving and assisting – pushing a manual wheelchair
• Support to attend leisure activities and clubs
• Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage the individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

ESSENTIAL:

• Full UK Driving Licence as you will be required to drive a small manual, mobility van.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

DESIRABLE:

• Experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)

Recruiting for 1 permanent position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 6 hours per month. (Possible more hours available.)

Days and times:

Every 2nd Saturday morning – 9.30AM – 12.30PM

Hourly rate:

£13.00 per hour.
