Carer / Support Worker required for an older female with a physical disability living in the Clydebank area.


  • some personal care
  • household tasks and cleaning
  • assist with day to day activities
  • support to attend medical appointments, days out and meetings, subject to daily activities
  • ability to carry out tasks to a high standard
  • willingness to learn the job and undertake relevant training

Days and times:

  • 24.5 Hours per week.  This will be on a flexible basis dependent on needs of both employer and employee.


  • £9.50 per hour, in accordance with guidelines from the local authority.
  • HMRC registered employer.  Pension scheme available.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must have a clean, current driving licence as some driving is required
  • communicate and discuss any problems that arise with employer / employee
  • respect privacy
  • reliable
  • keep working relationship confidential, including the assistance provided
  • respecting and treating possessions with care
  • discretion and integrity are paramount
  • ability to work on your own initiative or under guidance
  • must be open minded and comfortable as will be assisting with personal care as well as domestic tasks
  • must have a good sense of humour
  • must like animals as there is a pet in the home
  • must be a non-smoker


No job sharing requested, as would prefer to work with 1 person

Personal reference checks and appropriate PVG will be carried out for the successful candidate

The ideal candidate may have experience of intimate personal hygiene and care routines, although this is not essential.  What is essential is that they are highly reliable, must have an honest, reliable and flexible attitude towards life and work.
