This role requires you to support an adult female with learning difficulties. The supported person has a friendly personality and is easy to get on with. She is interested in music, art, and walks. She goes horse riding and has a job (one hour/week) in a charity shop. Her daily outings include social and therapeutic activities.The support worker should share the interests with the supported person and helping her towards independence.

You will be required to use your own initiative to use the allocated time meaningfully. A calm and quiet approach in this post is essential.

Experience working with LD people preferred.

Car user is desired, with a clean driving licence, but suitability for this post is of the most importance.

The post is available with immediate start. The work is committing and ongoing. Approx.10-12 hours/week over two days by mutual arrangement. More hours available if desired.  Excellent reward will be given to the right applicant. References will be required.
