We are looking for a small team of female staff (2-3 people) to support a young woman at home and within the community. This would involve a close working relationship with her family, support when out in the community and helping her to become more independent.  She is a 20-y old young woman with autism and anxiety. The support would involve befriending her, helping with social tasks but also some personal care.

We are looking for support staff who are friendly, dependable, flexible, and adaptable in their approach.  They will need to have heightened sensitivity to the emotional well-being of a very vulnerable yet extroverted and likable young lady.

Whilst relevant experience and suitable qualifications are desirable, they are not essential, whereas a friendly personality and a caring, empathetic, and responsible approach are more important. There will be an initial probational period.

Hours during termtime are dependant upon the timetable of the college and will be discussed with the employer.


The positions include

Position 1 - 10 hours per week (Mon – Fri) during term time

Position 2- 10 hours per week (Mon – Fri) during term time

There is an additional 20 hours available out with term times, we would be looking for individuals who can be available for these additional hours. (Mon - Fri)

We are also looking for individuals who would be available for sleeping overnights up to 16 nights per year. This could include weekends and we may be able to offer this as overtime to the two positions.  

Driving is essential for this position, as well as PVG. Training and support will be provided by the young woman’s parents.
