Piecing Together Person Centred Support - The Alliance

Thursday, 03 September 2015 09:13

A "think piece" from the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland on the implementation of SDS and the future of individualised social care.

‘Piecing together person centred support’ was launched at the Health and Social Care Academy’s ‘Devaluing Values’ event, held on 21st August 2015 in Dundee.  With the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2014 showing teething problems with scattered practice and slow progress in shifting the mind-set of social care towards outcomes, this event gave people a safe space to consider the effects of social work’s approach to implementing SDS upon the lives of people requiring support to maintain a good quality of life.

To read the whole document google  Piecing Together Person Centred Support - The Alliance  there you will find the pdf document. A good read and contains lots of information and the results of pilot programmes in some areas.
